The Chief Alchemist is responsible for directing and organising the research that the faction requires. In matters of potion or poison they are often called upon by the Tryants to further an investigation or clarify alchemical conundrums. More directly they are a focus point for the other faction alchemist’s, ready to lend their considerable expertise in driving discovery and securing training.
